Check out our list of bible verses about intimacy before marriage. It may not be popular right now, but I assure you, waiting until marriage is the right thing to do. It is biblical.
It is wise and will protect you from unnecessary problems: sexually transmitted diseases, problems of trust in the partner, shame, guilt, unwanted pregnancies, broken hearts, soul ties, etc.
By asking us to flee from fornication or sexual relations outside of marriage, God does not want to deprive us of anything good, he wants to protect us. God is good, friends! And despising His wise recommendations is often very expensive!
The word translated as impudence in some biblical texts is the Greek word Porneia, which covers different illicit sexual relationships: adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, and incest.
Fornication is a form of impudence that refers to sexual relations before marriage.

Acts 15:28, 29 – It seemed good to us and the Holy Spirit not to impose on you any burden other than the following: 29 We only ask you to refrain from eating meats offered to idols, blood, drowned animals, and that, of course, depart from sexual vices. It is enough that they abstain from these things.
1 Corinthians 5: 1,2 – Over there it is said that there is a case of sexual immorality among you that not even the pagans commit. One of you is said to have sex with your father’s wife. 2 And yet they are proud! Rather, they should feel ashamed and kick him out of the congregation!
1 Corinthians 6: 13 – “Food is for the stomach and stomach for food,” and so it is, although God will destroy them both. Now the body is not made for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1 Corinthians 6: 18-20 – That is precisely why I tell you to flee from sexual sins. No other type of sin affects the body like this. When one commits those sins, he sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, that God gave you, and that the Spirit dwells in you? You are not your own owners, 20 because God bought us at a great price. Therefore honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 7: 2 – But generally it is better that each man have his own wife and that each woman have her own husband, to avoid falling into sin.

Galates 5: 19,20 – These are the works of the sinful nature: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, lawsuits, jealousy, anger, rivalry, dissension, sectarianism, and envy; drunkenness, orgies and other things like that. As I told you before, I repeat now: those who lead that kind of life will not inherit the kingdom of God.

7 key points to keep in mind
What the Bible teaches the children of God about fornication in general and fornication, in particular, can be summarized in these few main points, which I have extracted from the previous verses:
Having intimate sex before marriage (fornication) is a sin.
Fornication comes from the heart and is a work of the flesh.
He who commits fornication or fornication sins against his own body.
God wants us to refrain from fornication and to keep our body in sanctification, that is, that our body is reserved for the special use to which God has dedicated it.
God wants intimate relationships between men and women to take place within the framework of marriage. Not outside.
Those who live in fornication will not inherit the kingdom of God.
To preserve oneself from fornication is to honor God. It is a way of bearing witness to the glory of God, of the world through our body that belongs to God.
Can God forgive me if I have fallen into fornication?
Yes, God can forgive you and purify you of this feeling of guilt that you have.
1 John 1: 9 – “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all evil.
Simply confess your sin to the Lord and ask Him to purify you and deliver you from it. He is faithful. He will do it.
How to overcome sexual temptations in everyday life?
You cannot break free. Only Jesus can set you free. Then offer your body each day to God by continually declaring that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and that you belong to God. The power of the Holy Spirit will free you from fornication.
God bless you!
